World championships road race women elite

At the world cycling championships, Team SD Worx riders were well represented and each and every one of them coloured the race. Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio was among the best uphill on Mount Pleasant, Anna Shackley and Elena Cecchini put in a lot of work for their countries Great Britain and Italy, Marlen Reusser surprised with an attack just before Mount Pleasant and gathered half a minute before being caught again. Lotte Kopecky took the silver for Belgium, the country's first medal at a women's elite world championship since 1994. And Niamh Fisher-Black secured a historic first world title in the U23s.
