With two stage wins by Lorena Wiebes, Team SD Worx looks back on the Tour of Scandinavia with satisfaction. In the final stage, the Dutch WorldTeam again played the card of Wiebes, but Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig triumphed with a successful late attack. Sports manager Danny Stam looks back on the Tour of Scandinavia with satisfaction. "We had no classification ambitions here, so of course we are satisfied with two stage wins. With that, we got the maximum out of it."

Lorena Wiebes sprinted to second place in the final stage of the Tour of Scandinavia. "Today there was a last sprint opportunity for Lorena. So we took control and fully hunted for the breakaway," said sports manager Danny Stam. "The breakaway rode very strongly. We had to use almost our entire team to get them back. We succeeded in the end. In the last corner, Lorena was a bit isolated, but she was perfectly placed in front. Nobody reacted to Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig's attack. That surprised me a little. She is so strong that of course she immediately creates a gap. This meant Lorena could not sprint for the win. Sometimes you are left empty-handed despite a day of hard work. That's part of the race."

"In the end, we end the Tour of Scandinavia with a nice report. We came for stage wins and go home with two. This year's Tour of Scandinavia fell a bit unhappily right after the Tour de France Femmes and World Championships. Both races are big goals for the riders and then it is always a bit of a switch after that. Turning the knob around and regaining motivation for the final part of the season. Our girls did an excellent job. Lorena Wiebes had her sights set on the Tour de France Femmes and the World Championships, but fell ill twice. That she then immediately manages to win in the first subsequent race provided a confidence boost. In Plouay and Simac Ladies Tour, we want to build on this season's success."
