Amy Pieters

Amy Pieters

Amy Pieters is an experienced name in women's cycling. In 2021 she achieved one of the biggest goals in her career when she won the Dutch national road championships. “That jersey means a lot to me. I had wanted it for so long. It was a dream come true,” Pieters smiles.

Pieters is a true championship rider. In addition to several Dutch titles on the track, she is a three-time world champion in the points race alongside Kirsten Wild. And on the road she has won the European title. She also does well in the classics. In 2020, she finished second in the Tour of Flanders right after her teammate Chantal Blaak. “I like the combination of track and road cycling. It makes me a stronger rider.”

Sporting director Danny Stam: “Amy has developed a lot on the road in the last four years. She is the perfect team player and her fast sprinting capabilities mean she can also finish the race.” She proved this last year with a great stage win in the Women's Tour.

It is currently unclear how her career will develop after a serious accident during a training session in Spain on 23 December 2021.
